WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A LEAD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
  • Provide direction to all property maintenance staff; ensure the maintenance team delivers great resident service while performing job duties.
  • Manage scheduling and execution of all service requests to ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct general inspections with agency partners and oversee remediation of any violations.
  • Ensure completion of vacant unit turns at established standard.
  • Oversee all upkeep of the building common areas, grounds, and systems at standard.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance for the property.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and immediately address safety issues.
  • Manage emergency on-call scheduling for the team in partnership with the Community Manager.
  • Rotate on-call responsibility for emergency maintenance repairs.
  • Partner on budgeting with Community Manager regarding maintenance expenses.
  • Maintain inventory of building materials and supplies; order as needed.
  • Manage contractors and vendors for repairs/maintenance needed; collect bids as needed.
  • Process all maintenance invoices for Community Manager review.
  • Partner with property support teams (e.g., Compliance, HR, Facilities) to address concerns and for assistance as needed to advance the business in collaboration with the Community Manager.
  • Implement workplace safety policies and standards including current COVID-19 standards.
  • Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.
Compensation
  • $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
  • plus an annual bonus

This range is a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on candidate qualifications, geographical location, and specific responsibilities. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate’s background and the requirements of the position.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of general residential maintenance or facilities experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical experience.
  • Experience with Real Page One Site or other property management system preferred.
  • Experience with affordable housing preferred.
  • Ability to work the emergency on-call rotation as needed; able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8‑hour shift.
