UKG is the world leader in the design and manufacturing of time clocks for workforce management solutions. Our integrated time clocks are used for tracking time and attendance, as well as for self-service features such as taking time off and checking accruals. These user-friendly devices run on an Android operating system and offer multiple options for card readers and power supply choices for seamless integration into a facility s infrastructure and operations.
These clocks are certified for safety and meet EMC compliance to allow them to be sold in more than 100 countries. Our Supply Chain Operations team manages global planning, manufacturing, order fulfillment, transportation, logistics, returns, and repairs for our customers around the world.
The Role
The Supply Chain Specialist II - Eng will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain Operations. UKG’s supply chain strategy is to leverage contract manufacturing and depot operations, as well as 3PLs, across the supply chain, for manufacturing, transportation, logistics, and depot services. The role and responsibilities of this position are focused primarily on supply planning however the scope of responsibilities covers a broad range of supply chain disciplines, providing the opportunity to experience and learn all facets of supply chain operations for electro-mechanical hardware products.
Responsibilities- Supply Planning:
Manage the supply of components through UKG’s contract manufacturer in Mexico, ensuring supply supports UKG’s demand, build, capacity, and inventory plans. - Demand Planning:
Collaborate with Demand Planner to ensure supply aligns with demand plans and forecasts - Supplier Coordination:
Liaise with UKG’s contract manufacturer and strategic suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of components and to manage demand plans and forecasts. - Supplier Relationships:
Build and maintain strong partnerships with UKG’s strategic suppliers, manage expectations for quality, delivery, and price, and drive escalations when necessary. - Inventory Management:
Manage inventory planned and held by UKG’s contract manufacturer, especially on hand, on order, and excess & obsolete levels - Sales Order Management:
Support UKG’s Logistics Manager by overseeing fulfillment of sales orders, shipments, and status, interacting regularly with UKG Sales Operations and UKG’s 3rd party help desk - Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze performance metrics, identify root causes of issues, and support business planning processes and exercises - Purchase Order Management:
Create purchase requisitions, place purchase orders, and support all requests from internal stakeholders - Business Continuity Plan:
Support the bi-annual Business Continuity Planning exercises - Supplier Management:
Plan and support UKG’s supplier business and operations reviews and administer UKG’s surveys, audits, and quarterly scorecards - Supplier & Part
Risk Management:
Assess, monitor, and support mitigation of component supply, price, lifecycle, and market risks. Administer engagement with UKG’s 3rd party SCRM tools and services - Supplier & Part Sourcing:
Support new supplier and component identifications, assessments, selections, and qualifications, administer RFQs, and research new suppliers and technologies
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with a concentration in supply chain management and / or logistics
