Clinical Imaging Manager

Job Summary

In keeping with Shields Health commitment to excellence, the Clinical Imaging Manager will be responsible for the locations, and employees; ensuring a professional, caring atmosphere is provided to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked oriented clinical environment. This opening requires 2 days of scanning & 3 days admin.

• Prime coordinator for notification, reporting and assuring smooth functioning of equipment
• Oversee Technologist's activity, plan, direct and organize schedule including implementation of protocols
• Available for consultation on an emergency basis should problems arise
• Promote a harmonious and professional working relationship in the Center, throughout the organization and with referral sources

• Assume responsibility for delivering patient care
• Initiate, monitor and terminate procedures
• Assist in cleaning up after treatment
• Ensure all patients are informed as to clinical policies and address patient inquiries or ensure follow‑through by qualified personnel
• Contrast administration

• Thorough working knowledge of equipment currently in use, and specific effects which can be reasonably anticipated with the various types of equipment
• Establish schedule of preventative maintenance and ensure proper documentation
• Notify proper parties to correct improperly functioning equipment or secure additional equipment
• Ensure adequate supplies of medical and radiographic equipment

• Teach and plan proper cleaning of equipment
• Assist in developing new procedural techniques and implementing such techniques or protocols as directed by the Medical Director
• Assist in evaluating new equipment and performance of existing equipment
• Make recommendations and communicate regularly with the Medical Director and Chief Operating Officer
• Report on the technical competence of Technologists to the Medical Director and critique such
• Cooperate in the orientation and training of new protocols
• Participate in and attend staff meetings
• Work to promote a sense of worth in all personnel by recognizing their individual contributions to the center's team
• Continually strive to maintain and upgrade competence, education and skills; utilize professional resources as well as self‑motivational techniques to do so

• Associate of Applied Science Degree from an approved collegiate or hospital‑based Radiologic Technology or Therapy Program and be A.R.R.T. certified. MRI certification required.
• At least 2 years of MRI experience and adequate on‑the‑job training on maintenance of equipment
• Identify or detect and correct any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, or contact proper resource for repair if unable
• Be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Help patients with mobility difficulties
• Push, pull and lift a minimum of twenty‑five pounds
• Physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation

The salary range for this position is $77,000 - $148,000 plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
