Sr. Construction Superintendent
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Construction Superintendent to manage on-site operations and ensure the successful completion of solar construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee quality control, safety compliance, and coordinate with subcontractors to keep projects on track. This role requires a strong understanding of construction drawings and plans, as well as excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
+ Manage on-site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, to ensure projects are completed on time.
+ Oversee quality control, perform quality inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA, and company policies.
+ Review and interpret construction drawings and plans to ensure work is executed according to specifications.
+ Communicate regularly with the project team and provide updates on project progress.
+ Manage subcontractors and site administrative duties.
+ Report daily progress and safety updates to the construction manager.
+ Coordinate work on site, manage inventory and deliveries, and conduct inspections.
+ Document information from contractors/engineers and ensure it is communicated to the appropriate parties.
+ Capture progress through photographs and report back to the project manager.
Essential Skills
+ Strong experience in civil construction, electrical, and mechanical aspects of solar construction.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
+
Experience with Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Familiarity with Apple iPads.
+ Strong leadership and communication skills.
+ Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
+ Ability to travel as required.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in solar construction management, preferably ground mount solar.
+ Leadership experience in overseeing construction crews.
+ Proficiency in managing sub-vendors and coordinating site operations.
Work Environment
The role involves working on ground mount solar project sites, within an hour of the office. The team consists of 50-55 employees, offering a supportive and growth-oriented environment. You will have access to a company truck for travel requirements.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lowell, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
