Manager in Training (MIT) - SPEC Building Materials Corporation

Location: 419 S. Lincoln St., Lowell, Arkansas.

Job Type: Full-Time / Regular.

Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.

Description:

SPEC Building Materials Corporation is a family‑owned wholesale distributor of building materials and equipment serving commercial and residential roofing contractors. Since 1973, the company has grown to 35 branch locations across the Midwest, South, and Southeast. We seek team leaders who can run a business as if it were their own.

Program Overview: The Manager in Training program trains associates in every business segment and company culture. Upon successful completion, a candidate has the opportunity to run their own branch.

Position Requirements
  • Preferably a 4‑year Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Sales or Business.
  • Two years of industry or related experience in building materials distribution.
  • Two years of general work experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; self‑motivated and enthusiastic about our business.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ethical, honest, and dependable.
  • Current state‑issued driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Legally entitled to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass a company‑required drug test.
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English for communication with vendors, customers, and branch employees.
