Overview
Our customer is expanding their help desk team from two 12‑hour shifts to three 8‑hour shifts to better serve customers. The role covers the mid‑day shift (Mon‑Fri 2 pm–11 pm) and the night shift (Sun‑Thu 10 pm–7 am). Candidates must be self‑motivated with an engineering mindset.
Responsibilities- Work in close coordination with project managers and field technicians on customer‑facing projects.
- Capture data from projects including check‑in/out times, time on site, and validate work completion documentation.
- Follow project documentation to ensure proper execution of project support requirements.
- Provide service and troubleshooting support to field techs via phone, chats, and emails.
- Implement, change, and create processes for different project needs when they arise.
- Remotely configure and program network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, wireless, CCTV, and UPS.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network‑connected end‑user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Execute and/or create programs and scripts.
- Remotely configure/verify port configurations and network settings.
- Assist with any other technical needs that arise.
- Adhere to all required project safety requirements.
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Apply exceptional problem‑solving skills.
- Pay strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑up.
- Read and decipher manufacturer instructions efficiently.
- Work with network switch programming.
- Program IP cameras.
- Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which the supervisor may assign.
- Operate Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Operate switch configuration and programming.
- Operate Analog/IP, Switch, Wireless, Routers, UPS, and/or CCTV.
- Be proficient with computers, typing skills, and applications such as Microsoft Office, Service Now, secure
CRT, etc.
- Intermediate experience level.
- Experience with network switch programming.
- IP camera programming experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and network troubleshooting skills.
- Hardware and software support for end‑user devices.
- Knowledge of VDI, cabinets, and related equipment.
- Prior experience in a help desk or field support role.
Contract to Hire, fully onsite position in Lowell, AR.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $20.00 – $20.00/hr.
