Overview
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is the Registered Nurse who oversees clinical care and nursing activities on a specific nursing unit during a designated shift. Implements, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of care on his/her unit. Promotes a safe care environments for patients, families, visitors and staff. Serves as the resource conduits for the Director on a given shift by rounding on physician, staff, and patients and leading by example, and serves as a liaison between the unit and other hospital departments.
Responsibilities- Coordinates the delivery of patient care, maintaining department schedules, manage call-ins, and participates with staff discipline, orientation and evaluations. Educate the Nursing staff on patient care by demonstrating competency in technical, and clinical skills.

- Communicates the plan of care and patient needs effectively, in a multi-disciplinary fashion, to any and all involved persons and/or departments
- Anticipates teaching needs of each patient, modifying, adapting, executing and evaluating the plan on a regular basis. Develops a discharge plan, individualized to meet the needs of the patient and family
- Actively participates, engages, promotes, and lead the nursing team to transform the practice environment to have ownership of education, knowledge, competence, and practice using the principles of Shared Governance as the framework

Three to Five years Experience Med/Surge Unit with Charge nurse experience
EducationADN Nurse, preferable BSN or willing to working towards a BSN
Licensure/CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
