Behavioral Health Therapist

The Therapist offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy to children ages 5 to 17 who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being. The Therapist also provides family and group therapy.

• Present relevant findings that pertain to mental status and patient risk in an acute environment.
• Prepare comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, mental status exams, treatment plans, and other clinical reports.
• Provide individual treatment and crisis intervention services.
• Confer with staff regularly regarding techniques used, case progress, and related matters for the purpose of promoting and evaluating professional development and assuring quality of care.
• Personally maintain a caseload and may handle some of the more complex cases; perform a variety of direct clinical, diagnostic, treatment, and outreach services.

Education:

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other related field from an accredited program. Must have one of the licenses listed below.

Licensure/Certification - Current:

• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT).
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW).
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• CPR/AED Adults and Pediatrics Required.
• Certification/Experience in Play Therapy is Preferred.
