Job Summary
Performs varied pro shop duties as the front-line customer service representative and cashier at Loveland Olde Course and Cattail Creek Golf Course. Provides a variety of support functions to the golf professional staff. Assists in all aspects of daily golf operations. Must work a variety of shifts including early morning, evening, weekends, and holidays.
DescriptionThe salary range for this position is $17.33 - $23.40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Position will remain open until filled. This position is a ten (10) month max, part year, 40‑hour per week position with Medical coverage benefit option only.
Essential Functions- Open and close golf shops and cart barns at The Olde Course and Cattail Creek Golf Course.
- Assist in the daily coordination of golf course play and practice range operations.
- Assist with control and management of play.
- Assist with promotion of all golf programs.
- Understand, follow, and enforce all golf course policies.
- Assist guests with booking tee times, greet customers, and answer telephones.
- Collect fees and sell merchandise.
- Check and clean all golf shop areas and public spaces.
- Provide a high level of customer service and hospitality.
- Duties may include trash removal, cleaning, painting and other maintenance tasks as required.
- Assist other golf operations and division staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The position is for a non‑management role with no supervisory responsibilities.
Education- High School graduate or GED required.
- 2 years of previous work experience performing similar customer service duties, including high degree of public contact and customer relations in a fast‑paced environment required.
- Required 18 minimum years of age at time of hire.
- Experience in a golf pro shop preferred.
- Experience with computerized cash register highly desirable.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- PGA associate member, LPGA member in good standing or registration in PGA’s PGM program or LPGA’s Apprentice Program preferred.
- Must possess general working knowledge of pro shop procedures and methods.
- Requires typing speed that would enable a transaction or project to be completed in a timely manner.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co‑workers and the general public.
- Ability to answer telephones and clearly communicate information.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to deal with customers diplomatically and effectively, demonstrating good judgment and patience.
- Must be able to complete fee transactions quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to operate menu‑driven computer/cash register system.
- Knowledge of standard computer operations and related software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and golf‑related programs.
- Ability to multi‑task in a busy environment with strong organization skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age upon hire.
- Frequent light to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing, walking, and maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.
- Frequent exposure to routine office noise and equipment.
- Frequent exposure to heat and noise along with working outside in the elements.
- Occasional moderate to considerable physical effort that includes working from ladders in awkward positions. Frequent use of light or medium weight objects (e.g., 25‑50 lbs) and use of medium weight tools.
- Occasional exposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
