Barista - Kitchen & Gift Sales Associate JLW land

At JAX Mercantile Co., we are passionate about serving our customers! Join our local, family-owned company as a Barista in our JAX Farm & Ranch & Outdoor Gear location in Loveland. Help make the coffee bar a stand-out place on Highway 34 to get a coffee drink, relax, and shop!

Our Barista is responsible for greeting customers, making coffee drinks, serving ice cream, and keeping the coffee shop in Loveland in pristine shape. This role also performs Sales Associate tasks for Kitchen & Gift products, providing honest and informative answers to questions and making suggestions about products that customers might want. All JAX employees are expected to provide excellent customer service, engaging with people and share excitement about our store.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, assisting the Department Manager, and providing customer feedback to Department Managers and the Buyers Team so our stores remain stocked with only the best products our customers have come to expect from JAX. Additional tasks may include:

• Making quality coffee drinks, smoothies, and other drinks from our menu
• Accurately processing payments
• Helping with visual merchandising
• Maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
• Complete record-keeping tasks and contributing to reports
• Learning about products to provide better answers to customer questions
• Assisting in loss prevention efforts
• Communicating professionally
• Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor
• Taking steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers
• Assisting in inventory responsibilities

Our ideal candidate has prior customer service experience, and is willing to pitch-in where needed. Additional knowledge, skills or abilities include:

• Experience as a barista is helpful
• Serve Safe certification or restaurant industry knowledge helpful
• Merchandising experience preferred
• Cashiering experience desired
• Computer proficiency required
• Works well with others
• Organizational skills
• Engaging and positive
• Attention to detail

• Must be available at least one weekend day
• Flexible hours available

Pay Range: $15.16 to $16.25 hourly
