At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Assistant Bakery Manager leads the Bakery Clerks and assists the Bakery Manager in supervising daily Bakery Department operations while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Order and maintain inventory controls, oversee product quality, and supervise the Bakery team.
• Execute product rotation and build attractive displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and ensure quality of Bakery product.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ensure other Bakery team members follow them.
• Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and provide outstanding customer service.

• At least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years’ retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Dependable and flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas (tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
• Operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks; use knowledge of scales and weight measures to weigh and label products accurately.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously and shift 8 hours per day; vertically transfer trays up to 5 lbs. from 7” to 64” for up to 10 hours, and vertically/horizontally transfer items up to 40 lbs. from 5” to 36” for a distance up to 36 feet for 10 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Adhere to all safety, health, Weights & Measures regulations, and maintain a Food Handlers permit.

$15.65 – $22.25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
