Banner North Colorado Medical Center offers intravenous (IV) therapies close to home, providing medications and nutrition for chronic and severe conditions such as arthritis, cancer, Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, and osteoporosis. Intravenous administration is a safe alternative when medications can’t be taken by mouth.

As an RN in Outpatient Infusion, you'll work with a strong team of oncology clinicians to ensure comfort, consistency, and continuity. You will take an innovative approach to infusion therapy that ties together the inpatient and outpatient aspects of care, providing compassionate care for patients with a wide variety of cancer diagnoses. The Infusion Center is designed to address the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient, empowering them to become cancer survivors.

Schedule
: 32 hrs wk., 4 days per wk., 8am‑5:30pm Monday‑Friday (every third holiday and every third weekend)

Position

Summary

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction. They utilize specialized knowledge and judgment to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Functions
  • Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family, ensuring completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information from other team members and diagnostics, reporting abnormal results to physicians and other caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments as needed.
  • Formulates a plan of care—including discharge plan—using assessment data and input from patient, family, and the health team. Initiates plan based on patient-specific needs, ensures goals are realistic, measurable, and developed with patient/family. Considers physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age‑specific and educational needs. Revises plan as patient needs change.
  • Implements the plan through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health team. Provides care per physician orders and the nursing plan, complying with policies, standards of care and regulatory requirements. Delegates appropriately and supervises nursing staff and other personnel, promoting continuity of care through accurate communication of patient status.
