Registered Nurse - OR - PRN

Pay Range: $51.00/hr – $51.00/hr

Loveland Surgery Center, Loveland, CO – located near 37th Street and Garfield Avenue. The ASC offers orthopedics (spine, general), interventional pain management, ENT/Otorhinolaryngology, cosmetic, oculoplasty, and podiatry services with three operating rooms and separate pre‑ and post‑surgical areas.

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by themselves and by others under their direction, utilizing specialized knowledge and judgment to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to each patient's physical and developmental needs.

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, and reviews patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to appropriate caregivers.
• Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, based on assessment data, patient and family input, and the medical plan of care; develops realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with the patient/family and multidisciplinary team.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health care team, following physician orders and nursing protocols.
• Evaluates the patient’s and family’s response to care and teaching, revises the plan of care as needed, and assesses patient progress toward goals and outcomes.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record with legible, timely, and policy‑compliant records.
• Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice.
• Participates in department or facility shared leadership, education, role development, orientation of staff, patients, students, families, and visitors, and contributes to the growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
• Contributes to society by improving national nursing quality indicators and outcomes through professional organization participation.
• In some locations, provides relief charge for staff and workflow of the department.
• Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards.
• Provides all customers with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating the core and leader behaviors each day.

NOTE:

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required.
• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, temporary RN license, or compact RN licensure for the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in the operating room (other procedural areas considered with Support Center Clinical Educator approval).
• Licensed RN with no experience in OR and enrolled in Peri Op
  101 program with successful completion within 4 months.

• Additional OR or perioperative licensed RN experience is strongly preferred.
