Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac Surgery ICU

The UCHealth Medical Group and the UCHealth Heart and Vascular ICU team in Loveland, CO are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their inpatient team. This is a full-time role focused on excellent patient care.

• Collaborative group including 46 physicians/surgeons and 20+ APPs.
• Cardiology-focused care with an emphasis on the best regional cardiology care.
• Epic EMR is used system-wide.

Responsibilities and requirements are listed for both Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.

• Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado
• Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications
• Eligible to provide services with Medicare and Medicaid
• Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA
• Unrestricted medical staff membership with practice privileges
• Prescriptive authority as appropriate per medical staff privileging
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility; must apply for prescriptive authority as a condition of employment
• Masters degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Nurse Practitioner Certification from ANCC or AANPCB maintained throughout employment
• Unrestricted NP license in the state of practice or compact privileges
• Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications
• Eligible to provide services with Medicare and Medicaid
• Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Competitive full-time pay range: $131,868 – $177,379 annually (depends on experience)
