Job Title: Transportation Recovery Technician – Part‑Time
Reports To: Recovery Technician Supervisor
Location: Northpoint Colorado (Adult inpatient in Loveland, CO)
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 1 pm-9 pm
Compensation: $19-21 per hour

Operating under an in‑network, commercial insurance model, Northpoint has grown exclusively through de‑novo expansion—from two facilities to seventeen across the Western U.S.—with more planned in both existing and new markets.

As a member of the Northpoint team, the Transportation Recovery Technician is responsible for attending to the safety and wellbeing of patients and working with a multidisciplinary treatment team in accordance with policy and procedure to provide the best possible patient care. This position plays an important role in the implementation of programming and care plans by providing direct and indirect patient care that complies with Northpoint policies and procedures for unlicensed staff.
The role actively supports the milieu structure through appropriate resource allocation and supervision of patients. The Technician works in a variety of settings throughout the week, including onsite at the facility and other community activities.
- Transport clients to off‑campus activities, errands and weekly outings
- Support vehicle maintenance
- Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical staff
- Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients
- Complete and accurately submit paperwork, including daily logs and forms, on time
- Maintain daily schedules and structure, specifically around transport times, meal times, transition times and other activities outside normal programming hours
- Act as a member of the treatment team and provide patient observation rounds, consistently monitoring patient activities and behaviors during scheduled shift
- Attend and actively promote recreational outings and activities with patients; encourage pro‑social and coping skills
- Ensure the wellbeing of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment; proactively respond to patient needs to improve outcomes and the overall patient experience
- Ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep under direction of leadership
- Assist patients with their needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary
- Facilitate and assist with selected activity and education group sessions; document timely and accurately according to established policies and procedures
- Oversee and manage the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from our facilities
- Assist in orientation of new admissions
- Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and their families
- Be a role model for patients and create a positive culture with staff by emulating a professional attitude, language, and communication
- Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning
- Document information regarding client care and behavior as required by established policies and procedures
- Use de‑escalation skills when exposed to volatile clients to maintain personal safety while ensuring safety for clients and other individuals in the program
- Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
