Position OverviewSummit Partners is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to provide on-site leadership and technical direction for construction projects. This role is responsible for daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, quality control, and schedule execution, working closely with the Project Manager and company leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide overall on-site leadership and direction for construction activities
- Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, and sequencing of work
- Enforce company and project safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Serve as Summit Partners’ primary on-site representative and maintain positive client relationships
- Assist Project Manager with project planning, schedules, and manpower loading
- Review and understand project estimates, plans, and specifications
- Pre-plan and coordinate work of multiple subcontractors and trades
- Monitor quality, budget, safety, schedule, and production; take corrective action as needed
- Conduct site-specific safety orientations and lead weekly safety meetings
- Lead and document weekly subcontractor coordination and progress meetings
- Verify completion of inspections, approvals, and certifications
- Prepare and distribute daily reports, three‑week look‑ahead schedules, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate site logistics, material handling, and overall site cleanliness
- Maintain tool and equipment inventory; coordinate rentals and returns
- Maintain accurate record drawings and redline documentation
- Coordinate closely with Project Manager, General Superintendent, and leadership
- 5+ years of construction field supervision experience
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality work safely and efficiently
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments
- Strong communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and welding symbols
- First Aid and CPR certification required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Physical Requirements
- Daily use of required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.)
- Ability to navigate active construction sites, including heights and uneven terrain
- Ability to lift construction materials of varying weights
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Extended standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing as required
- Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 annually (depending on experience)
