The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting guests to and from the hotel, hospital, or casino and local areas in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner using safe driving practices. They also assist guests with luggage during arrival and departure and maintain vehicle activity and maintenance logs.

Responsibilities- Shuttle guests to approved places as directed by the manager and client contact. Learn and remember pick-up and destination points. Know property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, main area attractions, and parking rates.
- Communicate with guests, location staff, and co-workers by telephone, two-way radio, and in person in a courteous and professional manner. Acknowledge and greet guests promptly and use appropriate salutations; address guests by last name when appropriate.
- Operate vehicles that accommodate up to eight passengers (including driver). Inspect the vehicle at the start of each shift for proper operation (headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior lights, HVAC, warning lamps, mirrors, tires, windshield wipers, and vehicle damage). Record any malfunctions or damage and report to the manager.
- Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Maintain security of client financial and identifying information. Assist patrons with entering and exiting the vehicle and check wheelchairs for safe operation prior to use. May be required to use specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED - Required Licensure/Certification:
Pass criminal background, MVR, and drug screen as required by the client; must be at least 21 years old due to vehicle leasing contracts; maintain a valid driver’s license; pass annual/semiannual MVR checks; complete Towne Park Wheelchair Safety Training as applicable - Work Experience:
One to three months related experience or training, or equivalent - Knowledge:
Ability to drive a manual transmission - Skills:
Ability to read and write standard English; communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings; perform basic math; understand time formats and rate information
- Working outdoors for extended periods; exposure to extreme temperatures; accommodations may be provided as needed
- Travel up to 5% may be required
- Physical requirements:
ability to talk, hear, sit/stand for extended periods, walk, lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently, and perform related physical tasks
Summary:
