Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
  • Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
  • Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty.
  • Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
  • Courtly assist customers by answering any questions they may have; direct them to the Facility Manager for further assistance if necessary.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards to the garage office.
  • Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area of the garage.
  • Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
  • Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience

Required:

Less than high‑school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location’s hiring needs. Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be a requirement.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information in one‑on‑one situations to customers and other employees.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract two‑digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s; perform these operations using units of American money.

Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle cash and equipment. Occasionally sit, climb or balance; may occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Salary Range: $14.00 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
