Transportation Manager

Overview

Transportation Manager - Monday - Friday/Days at Harbor House of Louisville. The Transportation Manager is responsible for supervising and leading all daily activities of the drivers to ensure the safety of drivers and riders with efficient routing. This position reports to the Programs Director.

• Propose annual budget for participant transportation needs
• Coordinate schedules for drivers and participants needing transportation
• Recruit and train all newly employed drivers
• Develop safety protocol for all drivers to abide by
• Conduct reviews with drivers to ensure they continually perform satisfactorily
• Coach and discipline drivers as necessary
• Review and address all driver safety issues from vehicle cameras and other external reports
• Keep updated on all Department of Transportation regulations
• Maintain documentation as required by DOT
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to solve problems
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Must have valid driver’s license

• High School diploma required
• Three (3) years’ experience in the field of transportation or with an agency that includes transportation services

Harbor House of Louisville has provided day services to adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them opportunities to build social, emotional, and cognitive skills through participation in employment, performing arts, health and wellness, and visual arts. Harbor House is expanding to bring these same day services to children and seniors of all abilities on an intergenerational model. We are moving into a 36,000-square-foot Intergenerational Life Center and expanding programs for before- and after-school care and seniors in coming years.
