Maintain, repair, and service production-related equipment and accessories. Also, perform installations of capital and/or expensed projects (with a foremost priority of safety).

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment by referring to operating and maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics, handbooks, code books, and any related documents to determine requirements as to the functioning of components, work to be performed, materials, repair, service, and maintenance procedures
  • Working knowledge of the correct operation of all equipment servicing
  • Perform Work orders and maintain all documentation associated with the work order system
  • Receive verbal directions from others regarding operations and assignments to be performed
  • All work is to be performed while adhering to all mandated Federal, State, Local, and company Safety Regulations
  • Any or all other tasks as needed or related to the operation of Production Equipment
  • Maintain the Shop in a clean and orderly condition. Dispose of scrap materials in designated containers
  • Clean all areas where work is performed of material, parts, oil, grease, etc.
  • Research and provide documentation to the storeroom of needed supplies
  • Must be able to interact with employees professionally at all times
  • Minimum: 1-3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
  • Must demonstrate ability to learn quickly with minimal supervision
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Light electrical knowledge - ability to troubleshoot basic electrical issues
  • Detail-oriented approach - able to focus on components as well as complete systems
  • Quick learning capability - minimal hand-holding required after training period
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and prints
  • Hydraulic systems knowledge
  • Welding capabilities
  • Soldering skills (for electrical work)
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of ten hours
  • Must be able to lift work-in-process, which could weigh between 50 and 100 pounds
  • Able to carry 50 pounds
  • Good vision/cannot be color blind
  • Excellent motor skills (hand/eye coordination) are necessary for the use of equipment used in this job.
Technical Competency Requirements
  • Perform all work according to Code and in a neat and workmanlike manner
  • All work to be performed while adhering to all mandated Federal, State, Local, and company Safety Regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to convey and interpret explanations of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.
  • Industrial Electrical experience
Equipment Used

Threaders, drill presses, grinders, welding equipment, saws, cutters, hoists, power-driven trucks, shears, electric test equipment, related items, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, face shield, and safety gloves.

Tool Requirements

Employee must supply their own hand tools and basic equipment necessary for the position. The company will provide replacement tools in the event personal tools are broken or damaged during normal work duties.

Location

All Manufacturing and Distribution facilities

  • Conditions:

    Noise levels require the use of earplugs. Due to noise levels, verbal communication may, at times, be difficult
  • Climate:
    The area is not air‑conditioned
  • Flooring:
    Concrete with no floor covering
Assessment Process

Pre‑Interview Technical Screening:
Candidates must demonstrate competency on basic technical questions covering:

  • AC vs DC electrical fundamentals
  • Basic electrical safety knowledge
  • Mechanical troubleshooting concepts

On‑Site/Virtual Interview:
The testing will consist of extensive verbal questioning regarding all the skills and trades involved in this function, as well as appropriate schematic reading and interpretation, and blueprint reading.

Schedule

Second Shift Monday through Thursday 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with alternating Friday nights
