Main Responsibilities:

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs such as replacing or rotating tires, lubrication and replacement of vehicle components, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside
• Basic computer skills
• Understand and comply with Penske instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool and PPE usage
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• Willingness to meet driving requirements and DOT-related screenings; includes background checks, drug screens, and travel for training as needed

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and requires alertness and safe work practices. Associates must prioritize their own safety and the safety of others.

• Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
• Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate tools
• Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
• Work safely in all weather conditions
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); may require pushing/pulling tires over 100 lbs

Pay: $22.75/hr

Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00pm - 6:30am
