Diesel Mechanic

Overview

Diesel Mechanic position at R+L Carriers in Louisville, KY. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, various shifts.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet, including preventative maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This may include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and fleet equipment
• Handle major repairs as required
• Work with AC and electrical systems
• Operate within safety and quality standards

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Ability to perform major repairs
• Experience with AC and electrical systems
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must have own tools

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• Experience with preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders
• Class A CDL
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
