Job Description
Perform repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. This includes working on chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies and control systems, hydraulic electrical, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drive train, and steering systems. Conduct basic tire work such as replacement, tire rotation, and tread depth checks. Enjoy working on a single fleet with state-of-the-art equipment, supporting drivers and servicing some of the most technically advanced vehicles on the road.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures on dumpster trucks.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance such as oil changes.
- Conduct hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
- Use hand and power tools to maintain engine, transmission, diesel, and brake systems.
- Maintain a working knowledge of vehicle components and systems.
- Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication.
- Safely provide road service to ensure equipment is returned to operation efficiently.
- Identify malfunctions using electronic tools.
- Complete applicable training programs.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of automotive mechanics and diesel engines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in chassis component repair and maintenance.
- Experience with refuse bodies and control systems.
- Understanding of air and hydraulic braking systems.
- Ability to perform engine repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
- Experience with heating and air conditioning systems.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
