Maintenance Electrician-TM

Overview

Essential Functions:

Performs skilled electrical and maintenance work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, motors, and components. Supervises Facility Repair Worker I employees.

• Examples of Work under general supervision:
  Supervises the installation and repair of wiring and associated electrical components
• Maintains motors and other types of electrical equipment
• Operates bucket and pick-up trucks, various kinds of meters and hand tools in order to perform electrical and general maintenance work
• Trains Electrician I’s in all aspects of the work
• Sets up, tests, operates, assesses, and repairs equipment required for live events, such as in person press conferences and video conferences, such as Web Ex

• Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
• Lifts 50 pounds individually or up to 100 pounds in a team setting
• Standing, walking, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Successful completion of a maintenance electrician course at a recognized vocational or trade school
• Two years of experience in electrical maintenance work

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

• Customer service and organizational skills
• Minimum of one year experience working with audiovisual equipment

• Computer skills, troubleshooting, customer service and organizational skills
