Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator
Position Title: Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator
Location: Louisville KY
Shift: 2nd and 3rd shift availability required

Responsibilities- The SOC Operator answers routine and emergency calls, monitors alarms and video equipment including video alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms, and provides general assistance to employees, vendors and guests.
- Monitor various tools to identify threats and/or risks to the organization.
- Coordinate response to life safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and dispatch security officers, CRT, facilities, police, fire and EMS personnel as required via telephone, radio and/or software systems provided by Brown-Forman.
- Maintain records of communications and events.
- Manage sensitive information in line with confidentiality and information security practices.
- Conduct investigative video reviews and report findings; assist in investigations and update requestors in a timely manner.
- Document all reported incidents and notify appropriate parties for information, escalation, or other required actions.
- Ensure all SOC systems are functioning properly and report deficiencies as necessary.
- Coordinate the response of on-site security personnel using surveillance tools with intrusion detection to identify individuals in restricted areas.
- Proactively monitor extreme or adverse atmospheric conditions that can affect safety or operations (e.g., hurricanes, floods, severe weather).
- In ongoing police or fire emergencies near assets, collect real-time information and alert relevant offices or employees.
- Maintain situational awareness during planned/unplanned civil demonstrations near assets; identify signs of unrest using news sources and intelligence tools.
- Manage and prioritize employee security concerns through email, phone, and internal messaging to ensure efficient support and resolution.
- Strong understanding and troubleshooting capabilities for CCTV, physical access control, and security software platforms.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify causes, and implement solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and ability to find information quickly.
- Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Conduct routine alarm testing and remote audits.
- Manage access cards.
- Maintain daily logs and prepare/analyze reports as required.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and escalate critical issues.
- Typing speed of 40 WPM (minimum).
- Requires about one year of related experience in crisis management, physical security, critical infrastructure protection, risk controls, or loss prevention.
- Position may require sitting, heavy phone usage, and extended screen exposure.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required. Training is available for those without industry experience.
- Certifications:
- Security Officer License (where applicable).
- CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using security systems, cameras, and basic office technology (e.g., email, Microsoft Office).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods.
- Driving Eligibility: Posts requiring operation of a company vehicle will be restricted to individuals over 25 with a screened motor vehicle record.
