Position Overview

As a Sales Representative at Galen College of Nursing, you will actively identify, pursue, and engage prospective healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive, tailored solutions to meet client needs, driving top-line revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and increasing profitability. This role requires a proactive, strategic approach to sales, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting healthcare excellence through professional development services.

At the Galen Center for Professional Development, our Nurse Development Resources (NDR)© program fosters actionable partnerships with healthcare organizations through shared, evidence-based evaluation tools. Our mission is to support the seamless and efficient transition to practice for nursing students, new graduate nurses, and those transitioning into new clinical roles. We offer affordable, customizable competency management services and development resources tailored to meet the evolving needs of today’s healthcare workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master GCPD Offerings:
    Become an expert in Galen Center for Professional Development services and resources.
  • Drive New Business:
    Identify prospective customers, generate leads, and convert opportunities. Own the sales cycle.
  • Customer Engagement:
    Contact new customers to understand needs and position solutions effectively.
  • Solution Selling:
    Emphasize product features and demonstrate how they solve customer problems and generate a return on investment.
  • Relationship Building:
    Forge professional relationships, build rapport and trust, and maintain ongoing communication.
  • Follow‑Up Discipline:
    Consistently follow up with contacts to advance deals and nurture relationships.
  • Pricing &

    Terms:

    Be fully knowledgeable of prices, terms, and sales agreements.
  • Client Management:
    Maintain accurate contact lists and update customer interactions regularly.
  • Achieve Targets:
    Meet agreed-upon sales goals and outcomes within established timelines.
  • Collaborate:
    Coordinate sales efforts with team members for alignment and efficiency.
  • Market Analysis:
    Analyze territory and market potential; track sales metrics and status reports.
  • Feedback Loop:
    Supply management with insights on customer needs, challenges, interests, and competitive activity.
  • Stay Current:
    Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends in healthcare and professional development.
  • Seek Growth:
    Continuously improve through feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Represent GCPD at Industry trade shows.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-4 years’ experience in sales of learning management systems for individual customers or organizations
  • Existing network with Health Care CNOs, CHROs, CFOs is preferred.
  • Knowledge and sales consulting skills within the healthcare space
  • Proven quota attainment as a sales representative
  • Business acumen

  • Prioritization, organizational, and time management skills
