Rising to the Challenge:
Position Responsibilities. Flowers Bakeries has an immediate opening for an Area Sales Director. The Area Sales Director supports DSD (direct store delivery) sales and Independent Distributors (IDs). The role involves helping IDs manage customer relationships, engage in sales activities, grow their customer base, seek new selling opportunities, track sales data, and ensure promotion and display execution in the market. You will build and maintain solid relationships with key accounts and use digital tools to show execution wins and growth opportunities.

You will work with a Market Vice President and the Sales Enablement team to analyze market and territory opportunities to maximize sales, using consumer insights to adjust sales strategies.

• Support DSD sales and Independent Distributors (IDs) in managing customer relationships and sales activities
• Grow the IDs' customer base and identify new selling opportunities in the market
• Track sales data and ensure promotion and display execution in the market
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to support sales growth
• Utilize digital tools to demonstrate execution wins and opportunities for continued growth
• Collaborate with Market VP and Sales Enablement to maximize sales using market insights

• 5 years of relevant experience in general management or sales; experience as a sales rep, distributor, or other sales position required
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Sales or Business Administration) or equivalent experience

• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT Medical Card
• Valid Driver's License and Safe Driving Record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
