Overview

Retail Sales Associate - 0380 l-Time position with hourly wage plus commission. Pay rate: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. The role offers an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process, with potential to earn up to 8% commission on transactions (in addition to hourly pay).

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with customer inquiries and problem resolution.

The role involves working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain product displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Handle cash and negotiable items following company policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; participate in a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Complete assigned training and contribute to a memorable customer experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (in relevant locations).
• Must be 18 years or older;
  High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience preferred; ability to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate with ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.
