• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team, communicates with team members, and can work in other areas as needed.

• Be an Expert: Demonstrates knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products according to standards; maintains product quality standards.

• Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; uses handheld technology to make decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.

• Be an Owner: Commits to operational excellence by maintaining the work area, ensuring quality and date control standards, securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise, eliminating waste, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies.

• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area, modeling high-quality service and products, and exhibiting energy and passion for the work.

• Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics by following related action plans and Open Door Policy.

• Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; prioritizes tasks, communicates progress, and adapts to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
