Overview
Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate to join our team at pawn store locations nationwide. The associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages with customers and processes sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate works with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and much more.
Compensationand Benefits
- Hourly wage: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour
- Earned commission: commission paid for every transaction you process; ability to earn unlimited commission above hourly base rate

The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and assists customers in processing sales, loans, and other transactions. The role supports customer inquiries and problem resolution and works with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (where allowed by law). The position offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity; actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions
- Performs non-management open/close procedures
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise effectively
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements
- Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures
- Answers incoming calls per company standards
- Explains the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers
- Collaborates with all employees to create a positive customer experience
- Completes required training successfully
- Other related duties as assigned
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) per applicable laws
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
- Occasional tasks may involve exterior customer assistance or retrieving products stored outside
- Minimum Age: 18
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to serve customers and work in a team
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Cash handling experience is preferred
- Must be able to work across multiple locations as needed
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems
