Barista

The Galt House Hotel is currently seeking a Barista in Thelma's Deli. The ideal candidate will have an infectious smile, exceptional customer service skills, a professional demeanor and a positive attitude.

• Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards.
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment.
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments following appropriate cash‑handling procedures.
• Serve guests quickly and efficiently.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu offerings.
• Observe relevant health and safety standards.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Prior customer service experience in a food & beverage setting.
• Previous cashier experience required.
• Previous kitchen "back line" food preparation experience required.
• Familiar with operating kitchen equipment such as a baking oven and electric knife.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong knowledge of the various types of coffee.
• Previous barista experience required.
