Overview
The Seasonal Groundskeeper supports the full-time Groundskeeping staff in the maintenance and preparation of all playing surfaces and surrounding grounds at Lynn Family Stadium, Champions Park Training Facility, and Thurman-Hutchins Park. This role assists with the care of multiple natural grass and synthetic turf fields and helps ensure all facilities are maintained at a professional standard for training sessions, matches, and events.
This is a part-time, seasonal position with hours varying based on event needs from March through November. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
: $15.00 per hour
- Assist with daily maintenance and preparation of professional-level natural grass and synthetic turf playing surfaces.
- Safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment and tools, including mowers, aerators, and other field maintenance equipment.
- Support general stadium and facility operations on non-event days.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, equipment rooms, and grounds-related work spaces.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards on playing surfaces, within the stadium, or throughout training facilities.
- Assist with event-day field setup, breakdown, and post-event maintenance as assigned.
- Perform additional groundskeeping and facility support duties as needed.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working on athletic fields or outdoor facilities preferred.
- Familiarity with groundskeeping equipment and standard field maintenance practices (mowing, fertilization, aeration, etc.) preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and flexible in a fast-paced, outdoor work environment.
- Effective communication and basic problem-solving skills.
Employment with the Club is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check, where applicable and in accordance with applicable laws. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
Physical Requirements- Ability to carry, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout facilities for extended periods.
- Ability to work extended shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, wind, and snow.
- Work may take place indoors or outdoors, depending on operational needs and event schedules.

- Shifts may exceed 12 hours on event days.
- Nights, weekends, and holidays shifts will be required.
