Crestwood Animal Hospital is looking for a forward-thinking Medical Director to guide our thriving, AAHA-accredited practice and shape the next chapter of veterinary excellence in the Louisville area.

As Medical Director, you’ll partner closely with our Practice Manager, Operations team, and Support Center to nurture a culture of collaboration, innovation, and compassion. You’ll champion high-quality medicine, mentor a talented team, and influence the strategic direction of a hospital that is deeply committed to its patients, clients, and community.
Leadership Responsibilities- Mentor & Develop:
Support and elevate a team of skilled veterinarians and support staff through ongoing coaching, training, and development. - Foster
Collaboration:
Partner with hospital and operations leadership to ensure efficient workflows, implement best practices, and meet client needs with ease and consistency. - Build Strong Relationships:
Cultivate a warm, trusted environment for both clients and team members, advocating for patient well-being and compassionate care. - Drive Practice Success:
Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, and productivity initiatives to promote long-term hospital sustainability and growth.
- Deliver Excellence:
Create comprehensive treatment plans and build strong client relationships through clear communication and follow-up. - Lead with Confidence:
Oversee daily hospital operations, delegate effectively, and uphold high standards of care. - Enhance Client
Experience:
Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism, supporting satisfaction and loyalty. - Champion Integrity:
Model ethical decision-making and elevate medical quality across the hospital.

Here, you’ll practice top-tier medicine in a supportive environment that celebrates innovation and growth.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent, required
- Veterinary License in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience required
- 2 years of leadership experience
