Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and small mammals, offering routine wellness, advanced diagnostics, surgical procedures, urgent care, and specialty services. The practice is dedicated to high-quality veterinary medicine and emphasizes a supportive and collaborative environment for both staff and clients.
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The facility is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate both professional development and work-life balance.
Role Description and ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Veterinarian will diagnose and treat a variety of patients and medical conditions, perform surgeries, provide follow-up and prognosis to clients, and ensure accurate medical records and estimates. Responsibilities also include mentoring and training medical support staff, setting standards of care, collaborating with management on administrative duties, and participating in practice growth initiatives. Veterinarians are expected to maintain strong client communication, demonstrate leadership in clinical and surgical areas, and provide guidance to support staff to ensure smooth workflow.
The role is open to experienced veterinarians and provides mentorship programs for new graduates.
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technologies, including digital radiology, ultrasound, laboratory testing, laser therapy, and specialized surgical equipment. It offers a wide range of services including wellness and preventive care, advanced surgical procedures, urgent care, boarding, pain management, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, internal medicine, physical rehabilitation, and behavior therapy.
