Clinical Nurse Specialist
Talis Group’s company client, a well respected regional law firm in KY, is hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Nurse Paralegal to support attorneys in complex medical-related litigation matters. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse who has transitioned into the legal field or an RN looking to leverage clinical expertise in a fast-paced litigation environment. The Nurse Paralegal will play a critical role in analyzing medical records, identifying key clinical issues, and assisting with case strategy in matters involving personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance defense, and other healthcare-related claims.

Highlighted Responsibilities:- Review, interpret, and analyze medical records, diagnostic reports, and billing statements.
- Prepare comprehensive medical chronologies, summaries, and timelines.
- Identify deviations from standards of care and key clinical issues relevant to litigation.
- Assist attorneys with case evaluation, liability analysis, and damage assessments.
- Research medical conditions, procedures, medications, and treatment protocols.
- Coordinate with medical experts and assist with expert witness preparation.
- Draft correspondence and assist with discovery related to medical issues.
- Organize and maintain medical documentation within case management systems.
- Prepare exhibits and materials for depositions, mediations, and trial.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required.
- Paralegal Degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
