Orthopedic LPN

Full Time 36 weekly hours, day shift

Job Summary:

The LPN functions as an on-shift team member. Under the delegation of a Registered Nurse, the LPN collaborates and provides direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The LPN's nursing assessment is a focused appraisal of an individual's status and situation at hand, contributing to assessment, analysis, and development of a comprehensive plan of care, developed by the RN.

• Delivers comprehensive patient-centered nursing care
• Collaborates with the interprofessional team
• Participates in ongoing and effective unit-based Nursing Performance Improvement, Quality Control and Continuous Quality Improvement programs.
• Transports patients safely using appropriate patient handling skills.
• Practice safe medication handling and administration.
• Implements Physician orders in a timely manner.

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Current Kentucky LPN license
• BLS required within 90 days
• ACLS within 180 days
• NIHSS Certification is preferred
• Completion of on the job training.
