ResponsibilitiesA professional registered nurse is accountable for the safe, effective, patient‑ and family‑centered care of a group of patients. The RN focuses on quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, and the implementation of evidence‑based practice within the unit. The RN assists in maintaining a financially stable unit, supervises licensed and non‑licensed staff, and applies the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans.
The RN emphasizes patient and family comfort, education, mentorship, and professional development.
