Schedule: 3-4 Days A Week, 12+ Hour Shifts

Note: Dialysis experience is preferred but not required. We offer a paid training program with hands-on training. Build long-term relationships with patients and make a difference every day. This position will be based at our dialysis site located at Seneca Place. Some travel may be required to other SNF clinics within your region depending on business and patient needs. Operations function Monday through Saturday;
scheduled days will vary based on market needs. The RN will be based at Seneca Place and may be asked to travel to additional SNF clinics within your region.
DaVita Kidney Care is bringing our industry-leading clinical quality to patients on-site at skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services. Approximately 10% of all dialysis patients reside in a SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week, creating significant burden and avoidable costs. DSD Services teammates will have access to all DaVita capabilities and resources to develop the infrastructure and rapidly grow this service line.

What You Can ExpectIn this role, you take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. DSD RNs will troubleshoot and make sound decisions for patients related to their dialysis treatment and may partner with SNF staff to coordinate care.
Primary work schedule: 3-4 days a week with some travel to other SNF clinics within your region (depending on business and patient needs). Alternating Saturdays will also be required. Your impact on the lives of our patients and their families will be felt every day.
Responsibilities and Roles- Patient education: RNs by training are educators. As a DSD Services RN, you will conduct impactful and meaningful education to patients and their families in the SNF setting.
- Direct Patient Care:
The RN's primary responsibility is to independently demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care. The role includes supervising Dialysis Technicians who deliver tandem care to meet capacity and efficiency goals. - Complexity: DSD Dialysis care is complex; meeting/exceeding clinical outcomes and multitasking to meet needs of service, patients, and SNF partners.
- Autonomy and Critical Thinking:
Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting and adapt to changing needs while applying core nursing skills to assess, diagnose and implement care plans.
- Your training will include classroom and hands-on learning through DaVita's award-winning training programs.
- Training may occur in a facility or training clinic with a class of new teammates other than your assigned home clinic.
- Hours during training typically range between 32-40 hours/week.
- May be asked to support other local SNF dens.
- Previous chronic hemodialysis or acute dialysis experience is preferred but not required.
- Paid hands-on training program.
- Current RN license in the state of practice; minimum of 12 months RN experience.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN or higher preferred; three-year diploma may be substituted for a nursing degree.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
- Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
