Job Description: Full Time 36 weekly hours, night shift - three 12-hour shifts 7A-7P & every third weekend. Sign On Bonus eligible for experienced Critical Care Nurses!
Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)3rd Floor 4002 Building. The CICU is a 10 bed critical care unit specializing in cardiac, intensive level care. Patients with severe heart diseases such as severe CAD, AMI, post arrest, cardiomyopathy, and arrhythmias that need continuous monitoring will be cared for on this unit. Assistive devices, including balloon pumps, impellas, and temporary pacemakers, as well as invasive monitoring devices like SWANs and a-lines are common on CICU.
The CICU typically staffs with a one or two nurse to patient ratio to provide critical care. The patient population ranges from adults through geriatrics. BCLS and ACLS are/will be required. New graduate nurses are welcome.
The CN is an entry-level management position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care.
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesRequired:
- A. Active Kentucky RN license
- B. Two years relevant patient care experience required.
- C. BCLS Required.
- D. ACLS Required.
