Required Education And Experience
  • Must possess an Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing and a valid Registered Nurse license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or a state Nursing Board in the “Compact State Agreement”.
Essential Functions
  • Under the supervision of a Nursing Supervisor, perform nursing duties in the care of ill or injured clients, perform nursing assessments.
  • Supervise licensed practical nurse and sub-professional staff in executing physicians' orders and proper nursing procedures.
  • Administration of medications via feeding tube, PO, or IV. Administer injections.
  • Respond to facility emergency codes.
  • Serve as a member of the client's treatment team, investigate and report on unusual incidents involving client care.
  • Report clients' abnormal physical and mental reactions to the physician. Make medical nursing rounds.
  • Perform nursing assessments on new admissions. Interact with clients and families and explain treatment.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position requires supervision of LPNs.
