Heart Recovery Registered Nurse Part Time Nights

Part Time 24 weekly hours, Nights - two 12 hour shifts 7P-7A

Cardiovascular Recovery, also known as Open Heart Recovery or CVR, is a six bed unit offering intensive recovery rooms and critical care services to the immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patient.

The open heart recovery nurse recovers patients post operatively. The nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the critical cardiac patient. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. Cardiac nurses must have strong critical thinking skills.

The cardiac nurse acts as a family and patient resource to guide them through all stages of the patient's cardiac journey.

• Active Kentucky RN License
• BCLS Required
• ACLS Required
• Previous experience in open heart recovery, critical care or equivalent experience is desired
