Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the care of patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician. The LPN focuses on safe, effective, patient and family‑centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
• The LPN assists in maintaining a financially stable unit and monitors resources and supplies.
• In conjunction with leadership, the LPN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the plan of care, including the delegation of nursing tasks to non‑licensed staff in accordance with policies.
• The LPN applies educational and professional experience to provide quality care and mentors or precepts non‑licensed staff and students.

Qualifications

• Required: Diploma in Nursing;
  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Kentucky.
• Desired: One year of experience in an acute care setting.
