Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Work Care, Inc. (Louisvilleաւ, KY)
Job Summary
We are looking for a full‑time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our onsite clinic in Louisville, KY. The successful candidate will provide health care services to patients and as needed to support medical and safety efforts at the site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Employee Care, Treatment and Testing
- Provides first‑aid, medical treatment and appropriate follow‑up to occupationally ill/injured workers in accordance with Workers’ Compensation standards and laws.
- Provides first‑aid or minimal incidental care and follow‑up for non‑occupational conditions in accordance with employer on‑site clinic standards.
- Performs regulatory tests (TB tests, immunizations, blood draws, drug testing when required).
- Performs wellness activities, flu shots, education and coaching programs.
- Performs examinations for employee medical surveillance programs (new hire, fit‑for‑work, return‑to‑work, exit exams).
- Provides return‑to‑work clearances as appropriate.
- Conducts effective case‑management follow‑up for injuries/illness and absences.
- Provides counseling to employees on employment risk reduction initiatives.

- Maintains frequent communication with Medical Director and Work Care Supervisor regarding all clinic issues and client requests.
- Medical Records and Private Health Information
- Maintains employee health records and databases.
- Performs computer data entry of all employee demographic and information.
- Handles and protects Protected Health Information in compliance with HIPAA laws, regulations and guidelines. able to impact.
- Client Interaction
- Develops and maintains good relationships with client management, medical and safety personnel, co‑workers and Work Care supervisors and managers.
- Communicates with appropriate client management frequently.
- Provides timely and accurate reporting as dictated by client, Work Care and law.
Education and Experience
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Kentucky with national certification.
- Unrestricted DEA license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Valid driver's license and birth certificate or passport.
- Minimum of 3 years advanced practice experience; prior occupational medicine experience preferred.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Maintains privacy and confidentiality.
- Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Gathers data, compiles information and prepares reports.
- Manages multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Creates and edits written materials.
- Communicates effectively to a variety of audiences.
- Organizes resources and establishes prioritiesреи.
- Demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients.
- Strong time‑management, organizational, and follow‑through skills.
- Meets and exceeds daily and weekly performance goals.
- Works independently and assists teammates as needed.
- Requires regular attendance and punctuality.
- Makes independent decisions in accordance with company policy and professional judgment; takes initiative on daily issues.
- Works effectively dnev; is extremely organized and manages multiple priorities.
- Competent in Windows OS environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Will learn additional software as needed.
- Requires sitting for long periods at a desk.
- May involve bending and stretching.
- Works under stress and uses computer or phone.
- Requires manual dexterity with keyboard.
- May stand, walk, stoop,шын, kneel or crouch occasionally.
- Can lift/move up to 40 pounds and climb stairs.

This position has an hourly pay range of $66 - $69 per hour. Final compensation offered will depend on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
