Overview

Farmington seeks a dynamic and customer‑focused Rentals & Marketing Manager to enhance the visitor experience, strengthen community engagement, and support the organization’s mission. This part‑time role is responsible for managing event rentals, cultivating client relationships, coordinating volunteers, and leading marketing and promotional efforts that elevate Farmington’s visibility and impact.

Hours for this position will vary based on event management needs. General work hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm but this schedule may be altered when special events or rentals require night or weekend attendance. This position is part-time with an hourly rate of $24 hour and additional incentive pay based on rental bookings.

Essential Duties and Tasks
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and contracted clients, promoting Farmington’s event spaces and guiding clients through the full rental process.
  • Coordinate all logistical and operational aspects of events, ensuring seamless communication with staff, vendors, and volunteers and full compliance with contract terms.
  • Foster a welcoming, professional environment for guests and support a positive, mission‑aligned visitor experience.
  • Lead Farmington’s marketing and promotional strategy, including digital outreach, print materials, social media, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Manage volunteer coordination, ensuring adequate staffing and alignment with program and event needs.
  • Strengthen Farmington’s public profile by encouraging participation in programs, events, and educational offerings.

Working Conditions

This work is performed in a business office setting.

Effort

Must be able to hear and speak. Work requires sitting for long periods of time and working at a computer screen, as well as walking throughout the campus on a regular basis. Constant use of hands and fingers. Daily contact with co-workers. Must be willing and able to work with detail.
