Industrial Painter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter with hands-on experience in wet painting and/or powder coating to join our production team. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands industrial coating processes, and can work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while meeting quality and safety standards.

• Prepare metal, steel, and/or fabricated components for painting, including sanding, masking, cleaning, blasting, and surface prep.
• Mix, match, and apply wet paint or powder coatings according to job specifications.
• Operate spray guns, powder coating equipment, curing ovens, and related tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished products to ensure coating thickness, adhesion, finish quality, and colour accuracy meet specifications.
• Maintain painting equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure proper daily cleaning of tools and spray booths.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, coating specifications, and production schedules.
• Follow all safety guidelines related to PPE, ventilation, chemical handling, and material storage.
• Document production activity, coating batches, and quality inspections accurately.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in industrial painting, wet painting, and/or powder coating processes.
• Proficiency with spray guns, powder coating systems, or electrostatic painting equipment.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, coating types, curing times, and industrial finish standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY 40214.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Louisville, KY 40214.
