- Interpret engineering drawings.
- Use engineering drawings, verbal/written instructions to assemble and route piping in HVAC units.
- Soldering.
- Brazing.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Change out refrigerant tanks and other gasses.
- Must be capable of using oxy-natural gas torch brazing equipment.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. without the use of lifting equipment.
- Must have a working knowledge of brazing equipment and common hand tool use including measuring equipment.
- Pipe fabrication.
- May be required to perform simple wire connections, per drawings, etc.
- Complete unit paperwork and QC checklist.
- Work involves varying degrees of precision and control where injury or damage could be caused by lack of required skill.
- Reporting of defective equipment to Supervisor and securing any defective equipment that presents a safety risk.
- Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety guidelines, as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations.
- Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training.
- Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of yourself and your coworkers.
- Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management.
- Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify and correct root cause in a timely manner.
- Complete accident and incident reports (including Near Miss) in a timely manner.
- Ability to meet the safety/physical requirements of the job.
