Jefferson County Stone - Rogers Group Inc - Louisville, KY

Full-Time

Day Shift: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Wages starting at $23.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train.

Jefferson County Stone is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking a surface General Utility person for our operation located in Louisville, KY

Responsibilities
  • Work in a dynamic environment that requires both technical skills and dedication to safety protocols.
  • General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations.
  • Operating a dredge to extract sand from an existing pit.
  • Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times
  • Operate equipment, including but not limited to: skid steer and loader. Experience is preferred.
  • Report equipment problems and identify them to management.
  • Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines
  • Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable
  • Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
  • Ability to maintain safe working conditions
  • Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen
