MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

General

Summary:

JBS is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is critical to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our high-speed production equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Must pass a mechanical knowledge test.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Physical requirements:
  
  Climb ladders, lift heavy objects, work with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
• Work environment:
  Must be able to work in areas of extreme heat and cold conditions.
• These are evening and night shift positions.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 – 3 years of industrial mechanic experience in a food industry environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills a plus.
• No licenses required; training provided.
• Position requires a drug test and background check.
• Ability to learn quickly, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to perform a variety of tasks.

• Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, case formers, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.
• Perform welding tasks (Stainless Steel, MIG, TIG) as needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
• Perform Labeling and Tagging of systems and/or checks for verifications.
• Support the plant equipment, and maintaining a safe plant meeting all federal, state and local environment requirements.
