What You Can ExpectDesign and conduct experiments according to B-F and Industry standards: tensile testing, compression, color spectrophotometer, transportation vibration simulator, severe environment simulations, and other packaging tests. Collect and interpret data, provide recommendations for new product development, generate lab reports, and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory testing criteria and methods. Create packaging specifications for new items where appropriate and record/observe data for long-term research.
Create and update packaging label specifications.
What You Bring to the Table
- Associates or bachelor’s of Science Degree with 1 - 2 years of laboratory experience; or 4 – 6 years of combined education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.
- Basic understanding of packaging materials (glass, PET, corrugated, paper).
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on diagnosing and solving problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with a broad range of business associates.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work with speed and accuracy within established time frames.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform and adapt in a rapidly changing environment; willingness to travel 5% of the time.
What Makes You Unique

- Knowledge of Glass Packaging Testing and Manufacturing Processes.
