Automation Engineer

The CAD Automation Engineer role supports a fabrication-driven design environment by developing and maintaining parametric, manufacturing-ready parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor. The position owns design automation workflows—including iLogic and API-based rules—to improve consistency, efficiency, and Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA).

• Developing parametric parts and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.
• Building and maintaining automation using iLogic, Inventor API, Power Shell, or Cool Orange.
• Managing a reusable Inventor/Vault component library.
• Improving design-to-manufacturing workflows with a DFMA mindset.
• Standardizing Inventor and Vault processes across design, manufacturing, and partners.
• Collaborating directly with manufacturing to solve build and fabrication challenges.
• Documenting automation logic so others can use it correctly.

• Strong experience with Autodesk Inventor;
  Vault experience preferred.
• Hands-on background in design automation and parametric modeling for manufacturing.
• Understanding of fabrication or structural/mechanical assemblies.
• Clear communicator who can work across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, construction, architecture or engineering.
• Real-world automation experience matters the most.
